NEW STRATEGY FOR HITTING A BEST-SELLER LIST
What follows is a new formula that’s been proven by one of the Buzz presenters to hit the Wall Street Journal Bestseller List with their book.
- Join BookBub and pay them to offer the Kindle version of your book at .99 for 5 to 7 days on Amazon. (If you are self-published, you can do this yourself. If you have a publisher, ask them to do it for you.) You may also want to make it available on Nook (Barnes & Noble) for .99 cents during that period.
- Promote the book to your blog readers and all social media outlets at the discounted price of .99 for the Kindle and Nook the entire 5 to 7 days.
- Ask your close friends to do the same.
- If you have relationships with bloggers, ask them to do the same. And in return, offer to promote one of their books on your blog.
- If you have a publisher, ask your publisher (of the title) to promote the book to their email list and social media outlets during those 5 to 7 days.
- If enough people buy the Kindle and Nook version of your book, it could easily hit the WSJ list, the USA Today list, or even the NYT extended list for eBooks.
Update 1: The nRelate WordPress plugin has been taken out of circulation. But …
UpPrev is a plugin that does something similar.
Update 2: We’ve discovered that OptinMonster is one of the best pop-up plugins for blogs, increasing your Email List quickly, should you choose to use a pop-up plugin.
